Alys Beach

One of the most stunning and compelling attractions in the area is Caliza Pool.

Welcome to Alys Beach

Alys Beach is certainly amongst the most visually striking towns along the 30A Route, largely due to the white Bermudian-inspired homes and villas filling the area.

One of the most stunning and compelling attractions in the area is Caliza Pool. The name comes from the Spanish word for Limestone, which is of course the material used to meticulously construct an experience unlike any other. Guests who visit are in for a real treat as it truly leaves one feeling like they’re dreaming in an exotic oasis.

The pool itself is a zero-entry, one-hundred-foot-long saltwater pool complimented by three additional pools - including a 75-foot lap pool surrounded by a bamboo hedge, as well as a family pool, complete with fountains and plenty of shades to keep your kids cool on a hot summers day.

For those looking to enjoy a fine dining experience in the area, be sure to check out George’s which is one of our favorites in the area.

Aesthetically, George's at Alys Beach looks more like a beach-style cottage that managed to make its way into a restaurant. Unlike the Bermuda-inspired style mentioned above, it manages to fit the locale, and once you take a bite of the locally sourced, organic food prepared here - trust us - you’ll probably stop caring about architecture styles (if for some reason you cared about the first place).

The community also features a 21-acre nature preserve, an amphitheater, the Alys Shoppe, neighborhood parks, tennis courts, and Caliza—one of the most elegant swimming pools and restaurants in the world.

“Caliza is the stuff that dreams are made of,” wrote The Miami Herald.

And indeed, Caliza’s dramatic design (by town architects and Alys Beach residents Erik Vogt and Marieanne Khoury-Vogt) features a 50 x100-foot saltwater pool, a 60-foot-long family pool, a 75-foot-long lap pool, secluded outdoor living areas flanked with tropical palms and gardens, and alfresco architecture punctuated by arched colonnades, private cabanas, and bubbling fountains. In its poolside restaurant, Chef Kevin Korman creates a fresh coastal menu that is approachable and familiar, yet new and exciting.

Directly on 30A, Fonville Press is a friendly gathering place that offers breakfast, coffee, magazines, newspapers, and unique books. It’s a magical spot to sip coffee or wine—inside, or in the courtyard, while the kids play on nearby Fonville Hill. There’s also the wildly popular restaurant, George’s at Alys Beach, where one can easily “behave or misbehave,” depending on one’s dietary mindset.
