Blue Mountain Beach

Blue Mountain Beach is a place you'll be sure to never forget.

Welcome to Blue Mountain Beach

Named after the signature brilliant blue lupine flowers that grow in the sand dunes, Blue Mountain Beach is a place you'll be sure to never forget. Fun fact, it sits on the highest elevation in point in the Florida Gulf. It's a personal favorite for its breathtaking views of the beaches and cost.

Unlike some of the areas along 30A, you'll find Blue Mountain Beach is a lot more peaceful given the lack of dense foot traffic. Locals and repeat visitors alike always marvel at Blue Mountain’s lack of crowds. Nestled between the communities of Grayton Beach to the east and Gulf Place / Dune Allen Beach to the west, it is perfectly situated to explore the west end 30A area. Those that do will find old-fashioned and quaint beach towns with relaxed vibes, sidewalks lined with eclectic eateries, unique shops, and winding walkways that lead to the sparkling Gulf Of Mexico waters.

The fantastic food scene, shopping, and pristine beaches have taken Blue Mountain Beach to new heights. This “mountain” of a beach town is a favorite among families and foodies. You’ll find a bunch of great restaurants such as Local Catch, Basmati’s Asian Cuisine, Blue Mabel Smokehouse, Cafe Tango, and Johnny McTighe’s Irish Pub.

If golf is your thing, make a tee time at one of the many nearby golf courses. Santa Rosa Golf Club (the best course in SoWal in my option) is just a short drive down 30A from Blue Mountain Beach. Many of the area golf courses offer beautiful coastal dune lakes and/or Gulf Of Mexico views.

Step into a world of outdoor adventure just minutes from your Blue Mountain Beach vacation rental. The unique coastal dune lakes - Little Redfish, Big Redfish, and Draper Lake - offer spectacular scenery and are great for kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and fishing. Surf or swim the emerald ocean waters or quietly beachcomb the sugar white sand.

Off the water, you’ll find the paved Timpoochee Trail which stretches 22 miles along scenic 30A. It’s perfect for exploring South Walton from end to end. Blue Mountain Beach lies at the doorstep of Point Washington State Forest, a 15,000-acre natural paradise with over ten miles of trails. Hike through thick cypress swamps, pine groves, and fields of wildflowers.

30A Escapes has the ideal Blue Mountain Beach rental for you. What better way to end your day than with breathtaking sunset views over the Gulf of Mexico from the comfort of home?

South Walton Regional Access #36 in Blue Mountain Beach is one of the most popular access points. It offers parking, bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and a lifeguard on duty. It is just a few blocks away from Blue Mountain Beach Creamery where you can cool off with some tasty ice cream.
